Not Sure What Size Air Conditioning You Need For Your Boat?
Try our free to use marine air con size calculator to find the perfect cooling solution for your vessel.
Installation & Kits
Step 1. Water Pump System Kit
You will need a water pump kit for each air conditioning unit.
Due to supply constraints our kits can only be purchased in conjunction with a Frigomar air-conditioning unit.
This kit contains the correct parts to properly feed the right amount of sea water to the air con unit you select. The water pumps we supply have magnetically driven plastic impellers so there are no problems associated with rotating shaft seals and corrosion.
The kit contains all the hardware you need including the hose clips.
You will need to select the size of air con this system is for.
Step 2: Select Your Air System Kits
You will need one air system kit for every air conditioning unit you plan to install:
Single Outlet: Ideal for smaller cabins or direct cooling.
Double Outlet: Splits the airflow into two different areas in the same cabin or two cabins.
Triple Outlet: Includes additional components to route air to three separate vents.
Due to supply constraints our kits can only be purchased in conjunction with a Frigomar air-conditioning unit.
The kit has been designed to meet the requirements for good airflow from the specified air con units. We have used our experience to select parts that give the best balance of performance and ease of installation.
Teak grilles are included as standard however we can also supply Black Walnut, Cherry, Maple or Oak.
Due to supply constraints our kits can only be purchased in conjunction with a Frigomar air-conditioning unit.
The kit has been designed to meet the requirements for good airflow from the specified air con units to two outlets. We have used our experience to select parts that give the best balance of performance and ease of installation.
When both outlets will be in the same cabin the grilles are identical in size. When the outlets will be in different cabins, the primary cabin (which houses the air con unit and control panel) has the larger grille and the other (secondary cabin) has the smaller grille (which can be closed).
You need to select whether it is for a single cabin or two separate cabins and the type of wood you want.
Due to supply constraints our kits can only be purchased in conjunction with a Frigomar air-conditioning unit.
When a very small cabin like a pilot berth, crew bunk room or even the heads needs cooling then you can use this kit to tap off from one of the 5” supply hoses used in the double outlet kits from the SCU12 or SCU16 air con unit to provide a third ‘minor’ outlet. If you want a small second outlet from a SCU07 or SCU10, then you could use this kit with the single air outlet kit for the SCU07 and SCU10.

On Board Comfort
50% More Efficient!
The new Frigomar BLDC series of air conditioning units are up to 50% more efficient compared to start/stop units. The compressor starts at very slow speeds with no peak current demand and accelerates quickly up to max speed. As room temperature approaches set point the compressor slows down keeping a constant temperature.
Ideal Size
The Frigomar SCU16VFDHE offers a quiet and very compact solution for boat air conditioning. The Frigomar SCU16VFDHE is a popular size for cooling larger cabins like the saloon of a sailing boat in the 45-50’ range or a power boat in the 38-45’ range. Complete with digital climate control and featuring reverse cycle heating, the Frigomar SCU16VFDHE will automatically adjust the temperature of the outlet air to compensate for the change from a hot day to a cool night.
Reliable
Variable frequency inverter drive technology eliminates start/stop cycles, increasing energy efficiency and eliminating sharp fluctuations in air temperature and power demand. This also results in increased life span and enhanced comfort on board, when compared with older start/stop technology.
Comfortable Climate
The Inverter air conditioner finely adjusts its capacity according to thermal loads in order to maintain desired temperature without fluctuations. This combined with silent operation enables higher comfort compared to start/stop units.
About Frigomar
Frigomar are the market leaders in the development and manufacture of inverter drive technology in marine air conditioning. Their BLDC variable frequency drive technology is unique in being “sensor less”. This innovation has enabled Frigomar to develop the most energy efficient (A-rated) marine air conditioning system, with the most comprehensive system management available on the market today.
Frigomar’s technology is not just a modification or enhancement to something that already exists; it is entirely new and ground breaking. It is revolutionising the world of boat building when considering power requirements and specifying generator size.
