Overview
Dependable power generation
Day and night — keeps working when solar panels can’t
On every point of sail — unlike wind turbines, it still charges when sailing downwind
More independence — reduces engine use and helps you stay off-grid longer
Reliable power, less maintenance, and fewer hours on your engine.
Telescopic design
Retracts neatly for compact storage.
Adjustable Angle
Up to 40° tilt for easy installation on a wide range of transoms.
Effortless handling
A lifting handle and locking system make deployment and recovery simple.
Remoran Charger - 300W
Remoran’s custom battery charger is designed to work seamlessly with the Remoran Wave 3GS and is included with every unit.
Converts 3-phase AC to DC
Auto-detects 12V or 24V systems
Compatible with lead-acid, AGM, and lithium batteries
Bluetooth monitoring via the Remoran app (plus Raymarine Axiom support)
Clear LED status indicators
Remoran App
Connect to your Remoran Charger via Bluetooth for live system monitoring, including:
Charging status (Watt-hours today)
Current (A), Power (W), and Battery Voltage
Generator RPM and charger temperature
Cable connection and fault detection
Available for iPhone, Android, and as a Chrome web app.
Raymarine Axiom Integration
The same functionality is also available directly on Raymarine Axiom displays via the Remoran app.
Real-World Proof
Mike Hutchinson’s Oyster 53 Distraction completed a 31,000-mile circumnavigation powered by a single Remoran Wave 3GS. The unit consistently delivered 90–100Ah per day on his 24V system, quietly covering most of the yacht’s energy needs.
“It just sits on the back of the boat and delivers power mile after mile. One of the simplest and most effective upgrades we’ve made.”

FAQs
-
The sailing speed reduction is roughly 0.1 knots during charging. This applies when the boat is moving at less than hull speed, and is dependent on many other factors such as boat size and speed.
Once hull speed is reached, the hydrogenerator's effect won't be noticeable. Also once the batteries are full or the generator cable has been disconnected the sailing speed reduction will be less than at full charging mode.
-
Yes, the hydrogenator can be kept in the water while motoring.
The charger will detect the higher voltage from the motor's generator, assuming they are connected to the same battery, and go into idle mode while motoring. The Remoran Wave 3 will resume charging once sailing continues.
-
No. The sturdy metal-on-metal construction can handle the stresses of backing up.
-
No. The Remoran Charger 300W is a smart charger and uses algorithms optimized for Lead-Acid (incl. AGM) or Lithium batteries. The charger algorithm ensures your batteries will be optimally charged without any adverse effects. Once the battery is full, the charger will go into idle or floating mode.
