To ensure peace of mind, your marine generator should be installed properly and that starts with using the right parts of the best quality
Marine Generator Installation Kit
Our kits are thoughtfully put together using the same high quality parts we use in our professional marine installations. They include the known parts necessary to complete an installation, without you or your installer having to spend time sourcing additional parts.
Silent Exhaust Kit
This optional kit features the new Halyard gas/water separator and is highly recommended for quiet operation. Fitted in the exhaust line after the waterlock and muffler, it allows the cooling water in the exhaust gas to drain down and out of a through-hull fitting below the waterline, before the exhaust exits the side of the boat. This eliminates the sound of the ejected cooling water splashing onto the outside water surface and has a secondary effect of being an additional silencer.
Siphon Break Kit
A siphon-break is required if the generator is to be located close to or below the waterline. If the level of the waterline (including when the boat heels over) is higher than the generator exhaust injection point, water can siphon into the exhaust system and flood back into the engine through the exhaust valve, when the engine is stopped.
Fuel Pump Kit
A fuel pump kit is only required if the generator is to be located above the mean level of the diesel fuel by a height greater than 750mm. If the level of the generator is above the fuel but not by as much, then a fuel pump kit may still be warranted if the generator is a long way from the fuel tank, say more than 5m.
